HYPE SHIRT is a youth exchange project about creativity & culture through art and music. 22 young musicians, artists, designers and DJs from Latvia and Estonia will come together in Riga. During 11 day exchange by using methods of informal learning they will create T-shirt designs in combination with music tailored specifically to the designs.
Your task will be to develop T-shirt design and compose a particular piece of music for each design, thus creating a convergence of two different media.

The project aims to stimulate young people's employability in the cultural and artistic field, to foster young people's initiative and selfemployment in the creative sector through non-formal education, thus addressing the Erasmus+ objectives.
During the exchange, participants will not only be able to share their skills, but also get to know each other and build contacts with other artists and musicians. Through creative workshops together with the composer, Latvian singer and DJ Roberts Gobzins and artist Patricija Brekte participants will have an opportunity to get to know the professionals of the field. Through group work, discussions, creative workshops, presentations and other activities that involve the use of modern technologies and non-formal education methods, young people will be able to express themselves creatively and take responsibility for the results of their work by participating in the development and implementation of the exchange. Such activities help young people to assess hobby or even career opportunities.
Designing a T-shirt and composing music corresponding for the design at the same time allows place for fantasy and logical thinking, it stimulates discussion, deeper insight into the facts, requires analysis and prompts the process to be planned.

Youthpass Certificate issued after this youth exchange is an official document and valid to be used when applying/entering schools, universities or jobs. Youthpass Certificate certifies informal education and can be attached to participant's Curriculum Vitae.
